Wood Smoke Reduction Incentive Program Home Page

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District created the Wood Smoke Reduction Incentive Program to help improve local air quality by reducing wintertime particulate matter pollution.  The program will offer funding for projects to replace a wood-burning device with a qualifying cleaner device, or to decommission a fireplace or wood-burning stove.

$800,000 in funds are available. To participate, you must submit an application and receive approval before beginning any work on your project. Applicants who begin work on their projects before receiving approval will be disqualified.
